A Story of Food Poverty, Charity and Working Together
This week’s blog covers a great initiative in the UK, being carried out by the Perth and Kinross Food Bank and The Rotary Club of Perth St John’s. Global Support Link is lucky enough to have received a grant last year from Perth St.John’s and we would encourage our readers to help, if they can.
The Path to Hope
After some of us travelling for 13 and a half hours whilst others travelling for 21 and a half hours we finally made it to ‘Agun Ki’ (….) As part of EWB Malaysia we teamed up with Naruda to help expand this loving home due to the large number of orphans in the area. During this post I want to focus more on what I learnt from the locals because to this day it is one of the most life changing experiences I have ever come across.
Another Volunteer’s Story
Cristina joined us in our Women Empowerment project and made a wonderful difference to the ladies of Belo, Cameroon. Here is her story.
"Right after my undergraduate in 2017, I was eager to do impactful work in a community where I could help most and bring my skills to good use.
Volunteering at Global Support Link - Natàlia’s Story
(…)The project was about building a pig farm including a biogas plant which would help the community have some income and make their own business. It was done in cooperation with Beruda - the local NGO. We were two people going to Belo, Cameroon for some weeks.
