Mental Health Training: Building Knowledge, Confidence and Community Support

Access to mental health education remains a challenge in many communities, where stigma and limited resources can prevent people from seeking support.

To help address this need, Global Support Link UK partnered with BERUDA and the Cambridge E-Learning Institute to deliver a Mental Health Training Programme for participants in Cameroon and Nigeria.

The programme explored topics including trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and early intervention strategies. Through online learning, guided discussions, and practical exercises, participants developed a stronger understanding of mental health and gained confidence in supporting individuals within their communities.

The initiative highlighted the value of culturally sensitive, community-based approaches to mental wellbeing. By equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills, the programme aimed to strengthen local support networks and encourage earlier intervention when challenges arise.

Global Support Link UK remains committed to exploring opportunities that promote mental health awareness and education. If you would like to learn more about this programme or discuss potential collaboration opportunities, please contact us via Facebook or email.
