Cristina joined us in our Women Empowerment project and made a wonderful difference to the ladies of Belo, Cameroon. Here is her story.
"Right after my undergraduate in 2017, I was eager to do impactful work in a community where I could help most and bring my skills to good use.
Volunteering at Global Support Link - Natàlia’s Story
(…)The project was about building a pig farm including a biogas plant which would help the community have some income and make their own business. It was done in cooperation with Beruda - the local NGO. We were two people going to Belo, Cameroon for some weeks.
Supporting the Elderly
In Cameroon many elderly people are left to their own devices and they get cold, wet, hungry and lonely. In conjunction with the United Reform Church of Hornsea and our Project Manager's sister, Global Support Link started the Sarah Project. (…)
